Lucio

Lucio arrived in the 11th century to sink its roots in the Iberian soil for many years. This olive variety brought from Tunisia is vigorous, capable of withstanding extreme climatic conditions, and resistant to pests and diseases. The region of Western Montes of Granada becomes the first oil producer of the province, and its municipality, Illora, in the headquarters of the olive tree picio, with a total of 155 thousand olive trees in 1895.

El Lucio, a majestic olive tree with more than a thousand years of history, with trunks of more than 3 meters in 12-meter plantation frames. This is the framework where Roldan Oliva is born, a family dedicated since 1895 to the care, protection and elaboration of one of the best extra virgin olive oils, made with the fruit of this ancient olive tree.
